CFO's REFIS 2026: an excellent opportunity to settle outstanding debts

DENTAL REGULATORY LAW

Published in May 2026

The Federal Council of Dentistry (CFO) has launched REFIS 2026, offering an important opportunity for dentists and dental companies to settle their outstanding debts with the CFO/CRO system under highly favourable conditions.

The programme provides for:

  • a full (100%) waiver of interest, fines and monetary adjustment;
  • the option to pay in up to 10 credit-card instalments;
  • settlement of overdue annual fees and fines;
  • an easier path back to good standing, both professionally and in the registry.

The initiative represents an excellent opportunity for professionals and clinics to reorganise their finances and avoid administrative restrictions, court collection proceedings, and other consequences of falling behind with the Regional Councils.

Beyond the financial aspect, being in good standing with the CRO is essential for operational security, participation in administrative proceedings, obtaining certificates, and maintaining full professional standing.

Petereit Advogados is available to help clients review their debts, assess the best settlement strategies, and provide legal support on any administrative or financial issues related to the programme.

We recommend paying close attention to the deadlines and conditions of REFIS 2026, especially given the exceptional benefits currently made available by the CFO.
